I’ve always loved Live Events, but crikey this one knocked my socks off. Even listening to it again, over six months later to edit it into three sections to make it easier for you to listen to – it’s knocked my socks off all over again.
The Quiet Mind is very special and Question Time was… how do I describe it? The six people that contributed such vastly different examples of listening to their animals, covering so many aspects of the things that worry we animal lovers most – just incredible… I expect there will be something in there to resonate with just about everyone. Freaking wow…

These will often be quite different to the recording, because I’m drawn to expand on things in the moment AND we had the most extraordinary contributions from people in their one on one sessions today, that will have been of enormous use to just about everyone. Well done all of you!

Corey made a good point after the seminar yesterday about the two people yesterday who were questioning why they were crying – sometimes the freedom and release of connecting like this can bring on tears – so it’s not always an expression of emotions like sadness or grief or anger or frustration – it can be the joy and wonder brought on by the experience of the connection too. For me when I find the expansiveness of understanding that comes with the connection to the divine – I laugh and cry at the same time – it’s quite a weird feeling – most people look at me and think I’m crying but I’m actually sobbing with laughter.
I didn’t think to suggest yesterday that you use an upright chair for this work. My posture is part of my connection with my Inner Guidance system and lots of you who are experiencing physical feel could find that too, so let’s grab an upright chair.
Today we’re going to use a photo of one of your animals – pick one for this lesson. You can use a photo, or if it’s an inside animal you can have them sitting there, or if you’re picking up the recording, you can take it out to your horse or cows or someone’s got pigs I remember.
Then we’re going to Quiet Mind and then notice your unique Feel to that animal.
It’s common for some people to not notice how subtle the connection is. It’s my natural talent to be able to feel people feel their animals – so in this session I am planning on doing some short one on ones bringing people’s attention to how they feel their connection. You’ll need a microphone or headset of some description if you want to put your hand up for this, otherwise the sound really echoes and makes it difficult to listen to you.
OK lets get going into our Quiet Mind. Make yourself comfortable on an upright chair.
As we talked about yesterday, one of these ways of dropping into a quiet mind will work for you better than others – and notice how they follow the five feels that we talked so much about yesterday. Don’t worry if one of them feels difficult, just let anything difficult go and flow with the things that are easy.
Don’t get hung up on trying to define your way of feeling/ connecting / communicating either – this is an EXPERIENCING thing, a BEing thing, not an analytical thing. Just FEEL the different ways that you experience connection. Use my words to expand your awareness of the full experience of the way that you feel your feelings/ connection / communication with yourself and with your animals.
And remember today is about LISTENING. Its about allowing ourselves to FEEL them, to “hear” them, to experience the way that they are communicating with us. each animal and human interface is unique, because it’s about each animal and person working from where their strengths in communication are shared. Does that make sense?
Quiet Mind
The notes of today’s quiet mind are very much expanded on the audio as I responded to what people were feeling on the call.
So … Pay gentle attention to your outward breath…
and to the way that the lower part of your ribs just squashes the air out of your lungs – don’t do that on purpose, just NOTICE the movement of the ribs.
And again, BE GENTLE with yourself. And like yesterday, notice what it feels like to decide to be gentle with yourself and if that idea doesn’t feel good, drop off the call and contact me by email and I’ll give you some other assistance and it will turn out to be lovely. Being gentle on ourselves is incredibly important.
Then see if you can feel your heart beating.
And if you can’t quite feel that, then imagine that you can.
And if heart feel turns out to be one of your natural strengths, you can afford to feel your heart now, because you know that it’s just a method of listening / connecting and communicating like all the other ways of listening/ connecting and communicating and you know now how beautiful it is. Just smile at the feelings around your heart and notice how that softens your eyes and feel how much better it feels to smile at those feelings.
Allow your attention to wander over your body, if you notice any tension or aches and pains just smile at them and notice how that softens your eyes and feels better. Notice and smile and appreciate it if your sense of smell or sight or hearing sharpens and if it seems like time slows a little, make sure that you stop and appreciate the heck out of that too!
Notice any energy moving through your body, any tingles or prickles of energy in your hands and feet. If you come across an energy stuck spot, just smile at it, notice how that softens your eyes and how much better that feels.
Trying too hard is the single biggest thing that gets in the way – remember that I call it squinty eyes when we’re frowning with trying too hard? Smile with your eyes and allow them to relax and allow yourself to notice what the inside of your own body feels like … Later note: We did a little practice with feeling what squinty eyes feel like when we’re trying too hard, so that we could recognise it and change it and we soaked up the feeling of ALLOWING.
Allow the thoughts and ideas to flow, just observe them, just notice them without judging them as good or bad, just allow the thoughts and ideas to flow across your mind. There’s gold at the bottom of those thoughts and ideas, there’s gold at the bottom of those worries too I promise, so just allow them to flow. Smile at your thoughts and notice how that allows the thoughts and ideas to flow the way they are meant to flow if this is one of your natural strengths.
I woke up this morning with a clear thought in my head – the reason we make such a big deal about continuing to feel inside OURSELVES when we’re communicating with an animal is that this is also about minding our own business – which is a good deal. When we feel inside ourselves for the answers, the animal gets to choose whether they want to communicate or not. Connecting is a TWO way thing. So if you get nothing, this animal isn’t connecting back and that is completely OK. They may be feeling unsure of us. They may simply have nothing to say.
You cannot feel good about forcing a connection and neither will they. Can you feel the truth in that?
So, for today, if this animal doesn’t connect back, then you can keep sitting there and be available for them to change their mind, you can even ASK, IF that feels like the right thing to do. If it was a traumatized animal or a frightened one, you would RETREAT further away – as far away as you needed to, to feel good and for them to feel good about that. Or you can move on to another animal who DOES want to communicate with you.
Stay feeling inside yourself, keep that awareness of what the inside of your body is feeling like and look at your photo or look at your animal. Keep feeling the inside of your own body mind and spirit and notice what changes in your own body as you think of this animal.
Remember from yesterday – you feel your connection with your animals IN YOUR OWN SELF, in the feelings, the physical feelings, the emotional feelings, the energetic feelings, the thought and ideas, in the beautiful sensitivity of that beautiful heart. Allow your attention to expand around your body, noticing EVERTHING about what is changing in ALL of your feelings, in ALL of your senses.
What changes IS your animal. What changes IS this unique connection between you and them. Some animals will communicate with their people with thought and ideas, some will communicate with you emotionally, some with energy, some physically by showing you their aches and pains and physical tensions.
Some like Katy’s horse yesterday will just blow into your heart with unconditional love. And don’t get hung up on comparing yourself and your animal to Katy and her horse – they’ve been doing aspects of this work for a long time now and they are well used to connecting with each other. Each of us will get what’s most important to us and our animal RIGHT NOW.
Keep that gentle noticing of your own body, stay looking and feeling and observing what’s going on in your own body and just decide to notice how YOU are feeling this connection with your animal. Yes it can be subtle and yes it can take practice to get really good at noticing.
