Gosh I look at that photo of Oliver when he’d just arrived here and realize how far he’s come.
Once you start trying to work like this, you CANNOT stuff it up. Your horse knows you’re open to do life together differently and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to stuff it up. There’s just things that work and things that don’t and a lovely exploring of that together.
Celebrate your mistakes – AND THEIRS – and use them as the gift they are, to create a deeper, closer, more joyous bond together. Open your heart and your mind to notice what was REALLY going on, behind that mistake.
Sit quietly in a safe place together, on the other side of the fence together if you need to, then…
Take your gentle soft eyed attention inside yourself, notice whatever you’re feeling about any mistake or bad behavior – in ALL the ways that you’re feeling – and be open to the idea that what you’re feeling about this mistake might not be all yours.
And breathe…
Can you see why I’ve given such a simple message a whole page of it’s own?
