Well not much has changed here with the law changes in Europe about data collection and I’m still passionate about plain, understandable language.
I never have, STILL don’t and WON’T EVER sell or give your information away to anyone else. I DO use reputable websites like aweber who store my automatic email sequences (so they have your name, email address and isp stored) and Paypal for your transaction security (so Paypal have whatever information they keep.) On your transactions I only get your name, email address, postal address if I need it, the amount you paid and what you bought.
Every email list of mine that people subscribe to, also gets any other information that I think might interest the people on that list and because I care about people enjoying my emails, I try to restrict emails to your interests.
I’m just as passionate as ever about people enjoying my emails and unsubscribing with a smile if they don’t.
I also use Google analytics and cookies to analyze my website use and create the best website experience I can for people with my limited technical abilities and at some time in the future I expect I’ll do a better job of that. 🙂
I do occasionally have information shared by affiliates who are selling my programs on commission and we have to track the sales on my website. So if you’ve come in to my website via a recommendation from Horseconscious as an example, then they will get the information about what you purchased that makes it possible for them to track and receive their commission.
I installed a Facebook pixel recently which tracks which pages people come into from Facebook. When I learn how to use that properly, I’ll be able to create a much better website experience that follows people’s specific interests. I hope that happens faster than other projects I’ve had on the back burner!
And I think that just about covers it. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Now I’m off to do some work about stuff that really interests you!

Thanks Hans-Michael. I didn’t realize that it was anything unusual – although I guess the plain language might be!
