Every second horse I look at has a visibly damaged back. Every second horse…
That’s half of the horses I look at…
Is your horse one of them?
And… bless you… what are you doing about it?
As an alternative therapist, specializing in fixing horses backs, I came to notice that there was a missing piece to successfully treating horse’s damaged backs and that missing piece is the rider.
As long as the rider end of the equation isn’t addressed, then you can keep fixing a horse’s back until the cows come home and they are going to damage their back again and again and again…
… and caring owners are going to fix it again and again and again.
Until we address ALL aspects of the problem.
And that’s what we’re going to do in this clinic.
I’ve been working successfully on horse’s health problems as an alternative therapist for nearly 20 years and as a horsemanship clinician both live and over the internet, for nearly ten years now and I have had it proved to me over and over and over again, that we can ride a horse to wellness. In fact, in some cases I believe the “right” riding is the fastest path to a horse’s wellness.
We may not have been the cause of our horse’s damaged back, the initial cause can be way back when they were first started– but we ARE the solution and whatever skill level we are at now, we can learn how to ride our horse to wellness and I can tell you from personal experience, it feels so very special to be able to do that.
The clinic
This is an over the internet clinic, running over three weeks. To give you an idea of the amount of work you would be doing over those 3 weeks, it is equivalent to a five day live clinic.
It is a combination of healing techniques for horse and rider – a wonderful opportunity to give back to our horses, while at the same time getting more sensitive and more skilled as riders. Horses and riding is one of those things where the learning never stops.
My biggest skill I am told 🙂 , is my ability to connect with people and teach effectively by distance – to effectively teach skills like “feel” for your horse, that are considered difficult to teach even in person.
I’ll tell you a secret. It was learning to teach by distance that gave me the ability to effectively teach people feel. It was a beautiful “coincidence” – a happy “accident” that has since become a foundation of the work we do here. I don’t really believe in coincidences…
There’s a stack of testimonials for the way we work, all over this website, so I’m not going to clog up this article with them.
In this clinic, we will be working on the many ways that I know to help a horse release the emotional tensions that are behind many damaged backs – finding the sources of tension and releasing them with our Release, Re-Learn and Re-Program method. The slowest part of this formula is getting the hang of working like this.
Horses are capable of the most extraordinary healing when their bodies are not blocked up. We’re going to identify the mental, emotional and physical sources of the blockages and work with you to release those.
I always work with a money back guarantee and this clinic is no exception. If you don’t see improvement in your horse’s back in the three weeks of this clinic and have a picture of how to continue making progress – then I’ll give you your money back.
There are only six riding places in this clinic. So please…. don’t even think of riding in this clinic unless you are committed to doing the work and helping your horse to heal. Fence sitting is the place to have a look if you are not quite sure. I am sure that I will run more of these in the future.
We are starting the 12th of January and working for 3 weeks. I am making the fourth week available though, because I always seem to over deliver.
Rider Cost $650 You can pay a deposit to secure your place or pay now to get the discounted price of $550.
Fence sitting is $100.
How the clinic will work:
As I said before, our and our horse’s bodies are capable of extraordinary healing – when they are not blocked up. Our goal in this clinic is to clean up as many of those blockages to healing as we can in 3 weeks.
So far, every horse with a damaged back that I have ever worked with, has a major trauma somewhere and our goal is to find that and clean that up too. With that in mind, you will take several short videos before the clinic, for me to look at and work out where the trauma is – in catching, leading at the walk and trot, being tied up, saddling, some riding footage, loading on the float or trailer, going into a stable or barn if they have one, having a rug put on if they have one, having their feet picked up, leaving their friends, lunging at walk trot and canter or playing games with them if that’s what you do.
Then I am going to review the footage with you, help you to identify the major source of tension and work out a plan to help you to help them, which you will work on over the next 3 weeks.
Each plan will be unique to that horse and rider, designed to give you the practical skills and the knowledge to help your horse to Release the trauma, whatever it is, Re-Learn a new way of doing that thing happily and Re-Program that new way into muscle memory, so that the happy new way is there on auto pilot. You will learn how to form a plan for yourself too.
We work to develop both horse and human comfort zones and videoing is no exception. We do a session on developing a comfort zone with the video process before the clinic starts and show you how you can video yourself if you don’t have someone else to do it for you.
If you haven’t worked with me before, you will be amazed at how effectively I can teach you in simulations and by distance. Actually even those who have been watching me do this over the years, I think will still be amazed at how thoroughly and imaginatively we can teach people in simulations – everything from improved riding position, to rope and horse handling skills.
You will video again during the clinic as often as you need to, plus I’ll bring in video footage from other areas for you to watch, as needed.
You can be an advanced rider, or a therapist yourself with skills of your own or you can even be a novice rider in this clinic and start building on the skills to help your horse.
Fence sitters get the lessons that the riders get and see the plans for each horse. They get to watch the rider’s videos where appropriate and where it’s OK by the rider – plus they are welcome to ask questions in our special forum section set aside for the clinic. I love people joining in and discussing!
As per normal arrangements, deposits are only refundable if your place is sold. You are welcome to pay in instalments – full payment is required before the clinic starts. Let me know if you require the instalment facility.
Horses (and people too) are capable of the most extraordinary healing and doing the work yourself to help your horse heal, can be just about the most exciting and beautiful thing for a rider to do with their horse.
Email me if you have any questions jenny@jennypearce.com. It’s first to pay, that gets one of those six places. I will refund your money completely and immediately if the ride positions fill up before your payment arrives.
