This is such an important part of what makes Fast Track sooo… fast, so make sure you ask for help if you need it and if you’re one of the shy ones, I warn you, I’m likely to pick you up in a Live Seminar! Smiling here. But seriously, if you get stuck with something, ask for help wherever you need it – there’s always an easy way.
For those of you who are aiming for big things in dressage or other disciplines, or whether you would just like to dance with your horse for your own pleasure, or make sure that your horse lives to a happy old age with THEIR joints intact, smooth movement of YOUR joints makes it possible for you to help your horse get smooth movement in theirs.
When YOU are jammed up or braced, it is just about impossible for your horse not to be jammed up and braced somewhere too.
Any bracing monumentally gets in the way of you and your horse’s performance and a happy old(er) age together. Chill out though, we have a program to fix that! The bracing and performance, that is – not the old age. 🙂 (Later edit in 2023 – although we DO actually have something to help with that these days lol!)
Practicing the smooth shock absorption of your pelvis and spine and other joints while walking, is an easy way to start finding that smooth shock absorption while riding.
In this Lesson we show you how to start getting what you are looking for while walking. Later in the Program, we’ll show you how to make that smooth shock absorption automatic for your saddle work and attain that unconscious competence that we are looking for!
It makes me smile. These are all such small words for something that has the capacity to give you a body filled with strength and ease as you age – and create the possibility of healing your body if you are older or less athletic than you would like to be.
So if falling off horses or bearing children has wrecked the sweet flexibility of your pelvis and spine that makes brilliant riding possible, then relax – we are about to start changing that.
In this Lesson, we will watch Sue making a very good start to “walking to improve your riding”. And as her pelvis loosens up a bit more, she will find the “spring” of the shock absorber perfectly – it’s coming!
