A dog pulling on the lead – this is a problem solving podcast interview with Sandy Rakowitz
Dogs pulling on their lead is the biggest pain in the butt AND can be a source of serious health issues too. When they’re pulling on their lead, they are not using their bodies the way they were designed – eventually you’ll get some long term consequences – spinal problems, weak hocks, muscle and ligament problems – even arthritis. Plus, every spinal bone has a direct connection with an organ, so – like in horses – a spinal problem can have a direct impact on that related organ’s health. The reverse is also true – SOLVE the spinal problem and you can solve the organ’s health problem too!
My own Lilybear was born with a crooked leg – inbred I suspect – and by six months old was crippled with pain and unable to put weight on that leg. The techniques that we’re talking about in this podcast and in Robyn’s video below it, saved her life. She recently died at the ripe old age of 13.
In my healing sessions I’ve also recommended this balanced walking for numerous cruciate ligament problems that were healed, back problems that were solved and weak hocks that were strengthened.
There’s so many good reasons to have our dog walking calmly and in balance on their leash!
My podcast guest today is Sandy Rakowitz, an animal communicator and TTouch practitioner with a passion for helping dogs walk properly on their leash.
