Isn’t it funny, weird, wonderful that horses showed us the way
to such a simple answer?
I remember my mother teaching me as a child, to question what I heard and read – specially when we were learning to read the newspapers. These days we have AI generated and incredibly good, deep fakes, social media whose algorithm rewards the most outrageous exaggerated and often untrue click bait, media competing with limited resources publishing press releases as fact and also getting rewarded by outrage or upset, politicians who can look into the eye of a camera and… well you know the answer there hey?
So how do we know what’s true?
Here’s how we know we HAVEN’T found the capital T Truth yet:
- If we’re feeling outraged then I can guarantee we don’t understand the message of our outrage yet – we haven’t figured out the truth about what that feeling is trying to tell us ye – because if we did, it would have disappeared. We’d be understanding of the Big Picture of what’s really going on here and we’d be feeling variously peaceful, joyful, excited, hearts filled with love maybe even the passion to create something different.
- If we’re feeling despair, ditto, I can guarantee we haven’t understood and / or taken action on all that squashed down, pent up love yet, or the despair would have disappeared.
- If we’re feeling afraid or anxious or worried, same again. I can guarantee we haven’t understood that fear yet, or pfft it would have disappeared – that fast.
If we’re willing, horses teach us how to listen to our inner guidance system to be really good with them, how to be good riders, how to get incredible co-operation. The same Inner Guidance system that gives us the Feel for our horse that all the great horse women and men have, is the same Feel, the same Inner Guidance system that enables us to know to our bones our own wisdom about the things we see and hear.
How blessed are we that have horses and this pathway to understanding ourselves and others, finding inner peace and happiness?

Hi Jenny, I hadnt thought of that but it is very true, our inner guidance can help us with so many things that are way beyond what we experience through our horses
