Who lives near me and wants to be in a horse movie?

I’m looking for four troubled horses and/or 4 nervous people to feature in a documentary to be filmed here at Rokeby late October early November.  So you have to be within easy traveling distance to us here to be in on this.

I’ve been invited to present a teaching video for an international horse expo that’s expected to be beamed to millions of horse people all over the world next year.  And yes I’m excited!

Because my specialty is teaching people Feel for their horse, that’s what we’re going to focus on for this film.

Feel is the keys to the kingdom – the key to everything to do with horses.  It’s the foundation that enables us to help our horse find peacefulness and confidence in us and then in their own world.  It enables us to find harmony with our horse, it helps us to know what to do in any given situation and when to do it.  Feel enables us to understand where our horse is coming from in every problem or issue that arises in their lives and enables us to take that into consideration to solve the problem AND at the same time, create a deeper bond with our horse.  It takes our horsemanship to a completely new level.

I want to capture this gorgeous stuff on film

Contrary to most teachers who exclude difficult horses from clinics, that’s what I actually want for this clinic.   I actually want horses with  behaviour problems and nervous people problems.  Can you feel me smiling?  Because that ‘s what will give us the greatest contrast for the video.  I’ve seen it over and over again in my work – so called “bad” horses sighing in relief that they’re understood at last and  turning their hearts over to a human for the first time and people crying with happiness.  And I want to capture that gorgeous stuff on this film.

Listening to our horses solves just about every problem a horse ever has and that’s what we teach here, so I don’t need to exclude difficult horses”.

I’m thrilled to bits that we have a top notch camera man and film editor for the job too. 🙂

We’re looking for 4 troubled horses who may have behavioural problems and their 4 maybe nervous people, to do a 2 day clinic at Rokeby in late October  / early November that will be filmed for this international horse festival.

To be chosen, you should be willing to be passionately gentle with an enormous consideration for the horse and you have to be open to learning how to do things very differently.  The entire focus of the clinic is on a deep and joyful connection with your horse, all the ways in which you can listen to your horse – developing your skill for that and the enormous impact that has on you and your horse’s nervousness and problems.  Note:  we’re focusing entirely on the connection to and your Feel for your horse and the impact of that on you and your horse.  This is waaay beyond so called horse whispering.

Cost is $1000 for the two days.  Horses and people will be screened to find the four most difficult applicants who will make the most noticeable progress!
