Here’s two good reasons to think about an alternative to spraying your thistles.
I knew that thistles were great for detoxing and I thought that’s why Rapunzel needed them so badly last year that I had to scour the neighbour’s land too to keep her supplied – but when I watched Stef’s video below, I realized the other benefits of thistles for my horses and even more importantly – when you have too many, how you can deal with them in a way that benefits the soil and the earth herself.
Stefanie Hildmann is a master carer of the land, with a connection and a Feel for the land as deep and clear as we have for our horses. She awes me with her skill.
Stef’s coming back to chat to us about dockweed, capeweed and flatweed – the three weed scourges of horse owners. Can’t wait!
Today’s photo is Boots and Sunny eating thistles. It wasn’t just Rapunzel that wanted them, tho’ she got the lion’s share.
