So far you’ve felt into the capital T of your own Truth about all kinds of things, including how you personally experience your connection to everyone and everything around you and how that relates to what you’re creating.
- You’ve gotten curious about feelings that you would have previously thought of as negative.
- You’ve looked for your own truth around assholery and conflict and you’ve learned how to de-escalate an upset.
- You’ve opened up to the possibility of the Paradox of the rightness behind the wrongness of all kinds of things that you would have sworn there was not an ounce of rightness in.
- You’ve learned all kinds of things about your beliefs, including that most of what we believe is untrue and that’s completely OK until it get in the way of what we’re creating.
Now we’re going to pull all that together in the 30 second a day creation formula.
Step 1. You need to be passionate enough about whatever it is that you want to change or create, to commit to the process. Don’t worry about the “how” – this step is just about feeling into how much you want to change or create this thing. The process will take care of the “how” and it will show up as your creation journey. Some people say you have to write it down. Personally I don’t think that’s a big deal, but I like to keep track of all these lovely things that I’m creating.
Step 2. Sit quietly or walk (depending on your personality you might need the movement) and find curiosity – “Holy shit is it really possible that I can create this something better or change this thing that I care about?” This is a big step – really feel into this. The answer that comes in – whenever it comes in, because it can come in later – the answer that comes in will be a foundation that underpins your creation.
Step 3. Wish this thing – just a simple wish, no big drama. Can you smile about it easily? Or do you find yourself frowning? Frowning suggests that you’re trying too hard. Smile just a little and allow the smile to reach your eyes. Can you actually see or feel this thing happening and does it feel good? If this thing that you are creating or changing feels really good, then you’re on track. If you don’t feel good about it yet, no problem, Step 4 and Step 6 will take care of it. <3
Step 4. Here’s the “change your life in 30 seconds” thing. For 30 seconds a day, just simply pay gentle attention to and be curious about all the feelings that come up within YOU as you smile dreamily about whatever it is that you want to change or create. What does it feel like to dreamily think about this thing? Be aware of any crappy thoughts or feelings that come up and be open to the idea that these feelings might not be all yours. Track those feelings in your body – including all the five ways of feeling that you may experience and ask yourself “Whose are these feelings and what do I need to know or do about them?” as they come up.
Step 5. Notice what changes in you and around you. Be open to notice and get curious about the rightnesses behind any wrongnesses that come up.
Step 6. It’s OK to course correct if you need to. What do I mean by that? As we’re paying attention to and being curious about the feelings that come up in us while we’re dreamily thinking of this thing, we may discover that it’s not what we really want after all. No big deal, just change what you’re creating.
Step 7. Feel the wonder of watching this creation unfold. Soak up every bit of feeling good.
