Overwhelmed by your feelings sometimes?

Overwhelm is simply our sensitivity running ahead of our understanding and the answer is simply to get our understanding to catch up.
You can use any or all of your Reiki symbols on your third eye, (see where the light is in the picture here – between the eyes, up a little and deeper in the brain) to speed up the understanding, to support your understanding to catch up to your sensitivity.
The other option when we’re overwhelmed, is to allow ourselves to close our Third Eye a little, to slow down the sensitivity. BALANCE is about flowing feeling and understanding and sensitivity TOGETHER.
We could sit quietly for a moment and do a little exercise around feeling our third eye open and close.
Take your attention inside yourself. Notice the way that the lower part of your ribs move with your outward breath, feel for your heartbeat if that works for you, feel the energy moving in your body if that’s your thing, be aware of and allow your emotions, your thoughts and ideas to just flow all the way to the gold at the bottom of them, allow your attention to expand to an awareness of your whole body and all the things that you are feeling in your body.
Still in that place of feeling inside yourself, decide to notice the feel of your Third Eye. It’s deep in your brain, in the centre between and just above, your seeing eyes. It doesn’t matter whether you can feel that right now or not – the decision that you make to notice it, means that you WILL notice it at some point when you’re ready.
If you can feel it, then just sit with that feeling for a while, noticing and feeling any opening and closing.
Deciding is a very powerful thing to do
Making a conscious decision in that “feeling inside yourself” place is a powerful thing to do. It MIGHT feel good to decide to balance feeling and understanding and sensitivity easily. It might feel better to use your overwhelm – that incredible sensitivity – to expand your understanding into balance.
Take your attention inside yourself to check whether it feels good to make one of those decisions in this super connected, “feeling inside place”.

And then check what it feels like to decide to balance sensitivity and understanding easily; or use your overwhelm to expand your understanding into balance; or to allow your third eye to close. Which option (if any) feels good in this feeling inside place of Inner Guidance?
