There’s some fabulous presentations in here that I’m looking forward to:
Linda Tellington Jones
If you haven’t had the privilege of hearing her before, she’s a treat. Her energy is gorgeous and her skill extraordinary. I heard that she’s still jumping on someone’s horse in a clinic bridle-less at over 80 years old. Some of the greatest horse people in the world have soaked up her learning. “Rooted in the philosophy that every being—human and animal—is a reflection of a Divine Whole, Linda’s approach blends respect, compassion, and cooperation with practical, science-informed techniques that enhance trust, balance, nervous-system regulation, and well-being—without force or fear.”
Robyn Hood
Robyn said in her bio “I have learned to look beyond behaviour and dig deeper. There is always a reason.” I met Robyn here in AUS 15 years ago. She’s good value, an amazing horsewoman and always has something wonderful to learn. Her skill with bringing young horses along from birth to started under saddle is poetry to watch in its gentle effectiveness. Her presentations include “Simple exercises to help your horse feel better so they can learn better” and one on body wraps. We used a body wrap with our Oliver to help him release a major trauma that had been causing him to flip out dangerously into PTSD type reactions. They work!
Sandra Wallin
Sandra has two presentations that sound very interesting, both about how our beliefs affect our horsemanship and our lives. (That is soooo my experience too!) She’s bringing you: “Through storytelling, interactive discussions and two reflective exercises, you’ll gain tools to view your equine partnerships—past, present, and future—from a fresh perspective, including through the eyes of the horse.”
Warwick Schiller
I’m interested to see Warwick’s two presentations. One is about teaching a horse to steer without bracing and the other is about introducing horses to new things in a way that actually improves your relationship. Right down our alley here hey? It’ll be interesting to see how he does that differently to us here.
Lucy Klaassen
Lucy’s presentations look fascinating. She’s talking about Heart Coherence – Become The Human Your Horse Wants To Be With and how to approach a horse with trauma. Spoiler alert – she goes back to the very beginning and starts again like we do. I’m looking forward to watching her video of working with her own horse Jajão whose scars on his body told a story of his traumatic history.
Karen Rohlf
Karen is always good value. The focus of her presentations this time is on low energy horses – getting 100% response and how to sustain energy with them. “Learn a fun and powerful exercise to sustain energy in a way that the horse becomes a willing participant.” I’m thinking that’ll be useful with our Caretaker Horses! <3
Gerd Heuschmann
Gerd blasted into the dressage world about 15 years ago, challenged and changed the way we look at horse training. He’s into bio-mechanics, classical training and a sustainable, ethical approach to equestrian sports. His insights aim to educate and inspire a shift towards more compassionate training practices. One of his presentations is about why he’s so passionate, the other is about developing training techniques that align with biomechanical principles.
Gill Shepherd
Gill has two interesting presentations on saddle fit. I don’t know about you, but there’s been times that saddle fit has been the bane of my horse life. It was great to learn some saddle fit for myself, so as to not be blind to this incredibly important information. Gill’s giving us more than a bit of info though. She’s bringing us a comprehensive health checklist to help you identify signs that your saddle may need repair or replacement and then da daaa… – a video that “introduces you to the transformative concept of Holistic Saddlefit and guides you through a detailed 5 Step System designed to ensure your horse’s well-being is never compromised. Each step is clearly explained, providing you with the essential tools to assess and critique your next saddle fit.” Sounds like gold to me!
Jillian Kreinbring
– is bringing us some classical exercise rooted in biomechanics. Among other things, she “explores several ways to bring a horse into light halts from the ground and shows examples of how to square a horse up through the shifting of weight”.
Then there’s yours truly Jenny Pearce.
What horse dream would you achieve, if you could click your fingers, get rid of frustration and anxiety and ride like the half-horse half-man centaur of legends?
What I’m bringing you in this lovely on-line horse fair is: “Horses DO Love Us When They’re Not Afraid” – which comes with a cool little exercise to help you to notice the things that your horse is afraid of AND that you can help them with – which not coincidentally, will help your riding too.
And… “Six shortcuts to joyful riding” which includes a riding seat lesson that will get you started on being able to flow with your horse effortlessly – no matter what your horse is doing.
These are only a handful of the 55 excellent presenters.
Have fun exploring the rest of them and salivating at all the wonderful knowledge at your fingertips without even having to leave the house or the barn. I’m going to take the opportunity to touch base with some people I’m not so familiar with!
Thanks for the presenter tips Jenny. I’m familiar with many of those names and agree they will be very interesting to watch.
Have a wonderful weekend.
You’re welcome. If you come across another excellent presenter let me know! I’m sure there’s more.
