Reiki for people and horses at Rokeby 17th June 2017

 

 

I watched one of my students yesterday on a video lesson, applying both her Feel and her Reiki together to help her horse release some very old tension and was blown away by the speed of the result.  I’m STILL shaking my head.  And the new level of HAPPINESS that they both bubbled into – I’m still smiling at the thought of it. 🙂

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient healing modality that raises the body’s vibration and accelerates the natural healing ability of the body – sometimes phenomenally.  If you’ve heard some of my Live Seminars over the years, no doubt you’ve heard some of the healing stories. Reiki’s gentle but powerful healing energy brings a very physical healing as well as harmony and balance for the mind, body and spirit.

Like electricity, it can’t be seen – yet its effects are just as profoundly felt.

What can Reiki do?

For your horse: The healing energy of Reiki can also give you a lovely and very simple framework for you and your horse to escalate each other into feeling more and more good.

You can use it to deepen your Feel for your horse and to help you be more Present, so as to flow your understanding of what your horse needs in THIS moment.

This path with horses that we’re on here, is already a healing path and Reiki adds to that ability to release old emotional stress and tension a whole lot faster.

But I think the biggest thing is that the Reiki healing energy is automatic. You don’t have to be in a good place mentally, emotionally or physically, to be effective – you simply put your hands on and the healing energy just flows.

For yourself: Yes I noticed I put the horse first too. 🙂 That’s probably the last time you’ll see it, because in the first level of Reiki we understand that looking after ourselves is essential to being able to look after others.

Using Reiki for healing yourself – mentally emotionally AND physically – automatically improves your horsemanship. If you’ve done our lovely little program 21 Days to a Quiet Mind or the Happiness program, you’ve already seen how the more Present we are, the more emotionally balanced WE are, the better our horses relate to us on auto pilot. Reiki has a magnificent simplicity that you can use to support and accelerate that journey to being more and more Present and get the understanding that comes with that, flowing more easily.

For those super sensitives amongst you, Reiki gives you a framework to cut through the overwhelm – to balance that sensitivity with understanding. Just pause on how big that is for a moment. Overwhelm generally happens when our sensitivity is greater than our ability to understand the message of the feelings. If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ve already experienced the relief and release that happens when you understand your feelings and your connection to your horse and others. Reiki gives you a simple self support system to get that understanding no matter what overwhelm is happening.

So you can be in a meltdown, put your Reiki hands on and channel the energy to bring yourself down – soothing and relaxing – so that you can more easily find the understanding that you are looking for – cutting through the struggle and resistance and balancing that beautiful sensitivity so much more easily.

Reiki is a first aid kit in your hands. Because it’s a very physical healing energy, it’s excellent for first aid in emergencies. It’s like turning on a light switch and the energy flows on auto pilot, whether we’re feeling calm or not. And it helps calm things in an emergency, helping with shock and overwhelm and accelerating healing.

Attunements

We ALL have the natural ability to help our horse and ourselves heal within the horse-human relationship.   But it’s the automatic’ness of the Reiki that is so brilliant – we don’t have to be in a good place to channel it and when we add those two things together – wow…

To pick up the Reiki energy automatically, we have to be tuned to it. It’s a bit like tuning in a radio frequency. You are attuned by your Reiki master (in this program, that’s me 🙂 ) and after these attunements you will always have the ability to channel your Reiki – for healing, for calmness and relaxation, for expanded understanding – no matter what the circumstances.

There’s three levels of Reiki:

Level One: You start at Level One., where the focus is primarily self healing, healing for your horse and other animals and your loved ones.  This is what we’re running at Rokeby on Saturday the 17th June.

Level Two: What you learn in Level 2 increases the depth of the healing and speeds the process up considerably. In the second level of Reiki you learn to work with no restrictions of time and space – you learn how to send Reiki by distance – you can be in one place and send very physical healing from far away. I think Reiki 2 is the least that people should aim for if they’re looking for a career.

Level Three: Reiki Level 3 is the Master Level where we attune people as Reiki Master Teachers and teach how to pass this beautiful healing modality on to other people too. You can do this for yourself for the sheer joy of that attunement (mine was just amazing! 🙂 ) or you can have a wonderful career both healing and teaching others. I have a heart smiling vision of a whole community of Reiki Masters spreading all these beautiful life skills that we’ve learned and are continuing to learn from horses.

Happiness and Healing with Reiki and Horses at Rokeby on the 17th June 2017

How it will work:

1. You’ll get the two week on line program, with 12 mostly short lessons to learn about Reiki, how to use it on yourself, your horse and other animals and how to structure a healing session for other people.  You can start those lessons on the 17th if that’s how it works out. 🙂

2. Then on the 17th June, you’ll come here for a one day workshop to receive your attunements and practice your new Reiki ability on other people and the animals here. I’m sure the horse herd, Lily Bear, the cats and chickens will be queuing up their hooves/hands/paws/wings out for some healing too.

3. Your program and attunements will be followed by 3 weeks of email support to get the most from your Reiki journey.

4. And then you’ll have ongoing support with conversation and sharing “forever”, in our own Reiki space on the student forum.
