There’s an expansive feeling of clarity and rightness when those of us with a natural strength in Mental Feel use those creative, problem solving thoughts and ideas that are characteristic of this way of Feeling.
The other side of Mental Feel – the worrying that can stop us sleeping at night or the brain in overwhelm that’s thinking thinking thinking and just won’t shut up and the sheer negativity of our thoughts sometimes – that’s also part of our ability to joyfully create something better.
You might want to pause for a moment and ask yourself “Could that really be true? Are those crappy feelings just as important as the good stuff? Feel me smiling and read on…
Both sides of Mental Feel – the feel good and the don’t feel good are our Inner Guidance system at work, guiding us in the little things of everyday life as well as guiding us to the bigger dreams and goals of joyfully creating something new or changing something that we care deeply about.
If you think of the idea of our Inner Guidance system being a kind of instruction manual for life, then if Mental Feel is one of your strengths, you can follow the thoughts and ideas that have the strong sense of rightness about them and use the worrying and negative thoughts and ideas as a guide about something that needs to change. (We’ll talk about the “how” later.)
If you’re in a hurry you can catch us on a live event and experience the lovely ahhaaa moment of that sooner.) Click on the picture below to find out what and when the next live event is.
Our photo: I stayed with the ocean theme to remind me again and again that the creativity and problem solving aspects of Mental Feel are utterly spectacular on a big picture level (such as the needs of the ocean) as well as in our day to day creating and problem solving. This painting is also by the very talented Catherine Clark Dowden from Queensland and the one I used for the bookcover background.
