If we’ve ever felt overwhelmed by and struggled with anxiety or dread, filled with anger or drowned in sorrow or shame or guilt, then you’ve experienced being stuck in your Emotional Feel. When we use our emotions as the guidance that they really are – when we understand them – the stuckness disappears – then peacefulness and happiness, curiosity and willingness, excitement and joy becomes our predominant experience.
Like the thoughts and ideas and worries of Mental Feel, both sides of Emotional Feel are our guidance system at work, enabling us to joyfully create something better or to change something that we care about. We use emotions like our peacefulness, happiness and excitement to create more of what we want or care about and emotions like fear, anger, frustration, guilt to figure out what we need to know or do in order to feel good again. We’ll talk more about the ease and simplicity of this later.
