Today I want to focus on the second of the Magic Questions “What do I need to know or do?” about any particular feeling. It’s a question with answers as unique as we are and it drives our ability to change and create with so much more influence than we ever thought possible and to do that with inner peace and a smile on my face that I can feel all the way to my bones.
“What do I need to know or do about… that fear, that anger, that frustration and all the other emotions? What do I need to know or do about … those thoughts and ideas, those worries, that energy that’s flowing or stuck, those tensions and aches and pains, that anguish or despair?”
- When it’s something to DO, it’s perfect action in perfect timing. However, the answers to this question are about much more than an action that we need to take.
- It’s about understanding ALL the threads of this change place – this situation or this upset or this person or animal that has triggered the feelings of our Inner Guidance system.
- It’s about understanding ourselves AND others – openheartedly and deeply – as part of OUR change place, as part of what WE are creating.
- And because we don’t live in isolation, it’s about understanding others just as deeply as ourselves.
- The feeling/s could be guiding us to understanding the truth or not of our own beliefs, attitudes, or the usefulness or not of our habits.
- Or the guidance may be about understanding where someone else’s beliefs, attitudes and habits have come from and how that understanding fits with what WE’RE creating and what THEY’re creating.
- Or we may be experiencing guidance to understand what I call The Big Picture – how does this thing that I care about fit into a bigger picture than just me.
You may even get to the end of knowing “What do you need to know or do?” and discover that you don’t really care about that thing after all, that the Truth is deeper and more profound and more joyful for you than what you thought you wanted or cared about.
And if you go back to that original Care Factor email where I asked you about what you care about – the big stuff and the small every day things, can you feel smiley CURIOUSITY about whether this is true or not?
Could this “What do I need to know or do?” question REALLY guide you precisely through all the change places to what YOU care about in a practical day to day way?
Could this “What do I need to know or do?” question REALLY guide us to that almighty statement “let the unhappy find happiness, the unloved find love, the sick find well being, the broke find limitless abundance and the powerless find the extraordinary and effortless power of the universe to joyfully change their world for the better”?
I’ve got shivers down my back.
