Here’s that lovely change place diagram again – the things that have to change in order for us to create or change that thing we care about. Understanding ourselves and our connection to others is one of those things that makes those big change places easy. Let’s focus on the second of the Magic Questions that helps us to do that.
“What do I need to know or do about… that fear, that anger, that frustration and all the other emotions? What do I need to know or do about … those thoughts and ideas, those worries, that doubt, that energy that’s flowing or stuck, those tensions and aches and pains, that anguish or despair?”
Having clarity about what to do, knowing exactly what next step to take can be life changing.
Understanding what we need to know is even bigger. The answer will often bring insights about our own beliefs or attitudes or habits or it could even bring us an understanding of what’s behind someone else’s beliefs or attitudes or habits.
That understanding of ourselves and where others are coming from transforms… transforms… our ability to change and create with so much more influence than we ever thought possible.
Remember, we don’t need to dwell on what the answer to that wonderful question could be, because simple open-hearted curiosity to get to the bottom of this crappy feeling, will bring the answer to us perfectly.
Could this “What do I need to know or do?” question really guide you to the experience of happiness, the experience of extraordinary healing and the experience of being able to influence and change the world around you?
Are you wondering if that’s true? Curious?
I’ve got shivers down my back.
