Making feelings “wrong” is a source of struggling and I reckon some of our biggest and crappiest resistance to our feelings comes from misunderstanding our emotions.
At its heart, the message of fear is simple, it’s designed to help us navigate our lives safely. There’s danger here and when you listen to it and take action on it, “pfft” that’s the sound of the fear disappearing.
Yes I PROMISE you it’s THAT simple. The fear disappears THAT fast when we understand its message.
Pffft!
We’re going to be talking about all the aspects of fear both in the next pages and in the support mechanisms I’ve put in place to help people suffering the extremes of anxiety and dread and panic attacks, but if this emotion has been making your life crappy then …
Read this slowwwwlyyyy and feel into my words as you read.
Paying gentle attention to your next outward breath and the way that the lower part of your ribs just … squash the breath from your lungs.. And you’re not doing that on purpose, you’re just noticing the movement of your ribs on the outward breath.
And the next breath
And the next breath
Now smile just a little on another breath. That’s right, we’re still putting that lovely little oh so useful smile in there.
For another breath
And another breath
And feel into the truth or not of these words:
We’ve got your back. The end of chronic fear and anxiety is right here in all these support systems that I’ll talk about in the next few pages as we unpack the different aspects of fear.
FEEL it …
We’ve got your back.
And another breath…
And another breath…
And I wish you happiness…
See you tomorrow.
