Can you hear another one of those drumrolls? I haven’t got galloping ponies this time but we do have a very cute dog!
Does everything REALLY happen for a reason? Or is life just a random chaos that you have to put up with?
In the last page we talked about being grateful for the assholes and all jokes aside, when we find ourselves profoundly understanding someone whose behavior has upset or hurt us, that paradox transforms our lives. The upset itself, when it’s understood, ends up increasing our inner peace and happiness and lots more besides. That’s what a paradox is – something that seems contradictory but isn’t really. If you got curious yesterday about what was behind someone’s assholery or their purpose in your life for YOUR benefit, then you’ll either have experienced the apparent contradiction of the paradox or you’re going to.
Today I want to talk about CRAPPY CIRCUMSTANCES that sometimes prompt the change to what we care about and helps us to create something better.
What I call THE Paradox, is the rightness behind the utter wrongness of even the crappiest circumstances.
Bear with me for a minute, I know that sounds impossible, but it isn’t really. It’s the Big Picture behind the crappy circumstances or the assholery. It’s “What has this got to do with our destiny, our purpose at this point in time?” and “How might this crappy circumstance be a change place that actually HELPS me change that thing that I care so much about?” Or “In what way might this actually help ME to joyfully create something better?”
I’m sure some of you will be rolling your eyes at the sheer impossibility of ever see any rightness in your own crappy circumstances. I get it. The sheer arrogance of someone suggesting that there’s a reason for some of the gobsmacking crappiness that people and animals experience. What I CAN absolutely guarantee you is that there IS peace of mind and happiness to be found when we’re willing to open up to the profound energy of The Paradox.
And if you bring that crappy circumstance and your curiosity about the truth or not of what I’ve written here into a Live Event, we’ll hold the energy of that safe place while you find the truth for yourself.
This photo is Marie Forleo’s dog Kuma. I thought Kuma and Marie’s excellent book Everything is Figureoutable is particularly appropriate for the topic of the rightness behind the wrongness, because everything really IS figureoutable.
