OK folks, let’s rock and roll – let’s notice if Energy Feel is one of our natural talents in creating or changing what we care about. Think about that thing that you care about, that you worked on when we were talking about Emotional and Physical Feels.
Remember, that each of us has our unique experience of Feeling – with one or more ways of feeling stronger than others and all of us different. Here we’re exploring if Energy Feel is part of your natural talent or not.
While you’re reading, slow down and read the following words slowly and deliberately.
Pay gentle attention to your outward breath for a few breaths.
That’s it… feel me smiling… reading sloooowwww…. and at the same time notice the way that the lower part of your ribs move on that outward breath – the way that the ribs just kind of squash the air from your lungs. And you’re not doing that on purpose, you’re just smiling a little bit and noticing for one breath…
… and another breath…
… and another breath…
Still with your gentle attention on your outward breath, notice what changes on the inside of you when you smile with your eyes just a little. Ahhh you can still feel the difference hey? Just notice the effect of that smileyness for a breath.
… and another breath…
… and another breath…
You’re already open to the idea that what you’re feeling may or may not be yours, even if the truth or not about that is still unfolding for you.
You’ve already got the Magic Questions tucked into the back of your mind. “Whose feelings are these? What do I need to know or do about them? And have they all gone yet?”
Now it’s time to apply our curiosity again.
Still paying gentle, smiling attention to your outward breath, think about that same thing you care about, that you had a feel into with your Emotional and Physical Feels a few pages ago and notice what changes within you.
Smiling and curious about the messages of whatever feelings come up – knowing that some of those feelings will be irrelevant now and that feeling into them with curiosity is enough for them to “pfft” disappear, that fast.
Yeah, knowing that some of what we’ve been feeling is old and irrelevant now takes the pressure right off hey?
Smiling and curious for just another breath, paying particular attention to any movement of energy in or around you, noticing any flat, stagnant or pent up energy…
… and another breath…
… and another breath…
Ahhhh…
When you’ve finished noticing and feeling curious about whatever feelings come up, this time paying particular attention to any energy feelings in your body, have another wriggle and a stretch and a little walk around the room, feeling the way that your feet are flexing on the floor or the ground as you walk. It gives our body a chance to re-program and slide those muscles and bones back into place.
If you want to check out that “relevant and irrelevant” thing again, you’ll find it here.
I’ve opened up the comments for this page too.
You’re welcome to ask questions and share your experiences with others in the comment section that I’ve opened up for you. Or join in the next live event.
Today’s photo of her dog Izzy and friends was taken by our horse feet trimmer Kathryn Christieson. It’s interesting that I’m using her dog photos when it’s horses that this young lady is so talented with and it’s her gracious breaking down of stereotypes that I so admire, as this barefoot trimmer trains as a master farrier too.
